Reverse Transcription
First-strand cDNA.
Using in-house MMLV, we prepared first-strand cDNA. mRNA enrichment was achived using anchored oligo-dT primers. The resulting RNA:DNA hybrid becomes the template for (q)PCR and bulk RNA-Sequencing.

Unraveling the Cellular and Molecular Basis of Liver Recovery
Our research investigates the extraordinary regenerative capacity of the liver, focusing on the cellular and molecular mechanisms that enable it to recover from injury and cancer. We aim to understand how liver cells collaborate in response to damage, such as through cholangiocyte-to-hepatocyte transdifferentiation, a process we’ve shown to occur during growth spurts.
Decoding environmental cacophony.
Our research attempts to illuminate the complex web of cellular stress responses with the aim of enhancing the resilience of biological systems. In particular, we explore the adaptive strategies employed by organs and organisms under nutritional deprivation, revealing the secrets of metabolic resilience.
